The curiosity contest run by the very lovely ~MintLilac as hone to a conclusion and I would like to present to you the winners and their Fantastic work

First prize went to ~Gravity403 with their written piece entitles Lights.

Lights Leaving his hometown was far too easy; whispers assisted his escape to the corn fields.
Leaving footprints on a trail to nowhere; that night he disappeared from the world unnoticed.
It felt cold, like it was below freezing; yet somehow, he was used to being stranded beyond the sun.
It was the voices that beckoned him to the meteor shower; their diaries broadcasting across space.
Grasping for stars with high hopes of seizing souvenirs; his feet remained stranded by disappointment.
Grasping the weight of gravity in moment of regret; flight became a distant dream he struggled to remember.
He stood in awe as the flames streaked across the sky; li

Altho he is a new one to Deviant Art he has a great collection of written works that really get the mind going, picturing what he describes, such wonderful imagination.

Second place was =Elsie-Black with her poem Curiosity.

Curiosity There's a man standing on the street corner,
His hat pulled down low on his head.
He's wearing a shirt that might once have been white,
But it's faded to dark grey instead.

My friends are all pointing and staring,
They say he's a bad man, a freak.
And Mummy agrees with them, warns me away,
Forbids me to look or to speak.

So each day I come out of the front gate,
Look up to the corner and see,
That the man is still standing there, eyes blank and cold,
It's almost like he can't see me.

Weeks pass, and the man keeps on standing,
I can't help but wonder what for,
Mummy says I'm just seven, I won't understand,
But she too thinks ab

She is a young and aspiring poet with a expansive gallery of written pieces, each worth the read.

Third place started lout a commission for someone and ended up being entered as it fit the purpose precisely.  Into Space by *annsquare



An illustration that oozes curiosity as one wonders who he is and why on earth he is wandering around space with a box over his head..  Great technique and use of colour. She shows great style and technique in all her illustrated pieces.

A wonderful conceptual Photographer and photo-manipulator that thinks so far outside the box, you can't see the box any more.
